Tree stand vs Blind

This is a debate my hunting friends get into all the time.  Since I am new to bow hunting and trying to learn from experience, what is the best option and when?

I guess this all depends on the terrain, but if you have some good spots with some mature trees to hang a stand in, I would say up in a tree is your best bet.  You can see a lot better from up there, plus you keep your scent away from the deer a little better.  Just my opinion...Ground blinds are great too, but I think you have a better advantage in a tree.
 
When you say 'when,' what do you mean?

I have a lot of differenct places to set up.  There are a lot of hills and creeks.  Some of this is in heavy woods.  Wasn't sure if a blind would be more effective in certian areas than others.
