My daughter was on her way home from college last Friday. She calls me on her cell and says she wants Venison for supper. Good girl.
Use and electric fry pan with a cover.
Slice any cut of venison 1/4 inch thick. Several lbs.
6 tablespoons of Olive Oil.
1/2 stick of butter.
Half of a large white onion.
Melt butter, add Olive Oil and Onions
Lay the meat on top of the Onion.
Cover and vent slightly. Cook at 250 degrees.
Watch it until the onions start to get carmelized, then stir and brown the meat. Don;t let it dry out, add a little water if neccessary.
Once it gets browned up nice, and you have some nice little crustys breaking off the meat. Add a can of beef broth. Cover and reduce the heat until the broth is simmered down to a gravy consistency. Enjoy
It will make a poodle chew through Hoover Dam with dentures on.
