Thanks 3 to 1...The deer gods smiled on me. Last Thursday I set up in a stand with a buck decoy down wind of a doe decoy. 2 larger bucks circled well out of range at 60 yds down wind and never challenged. This guy came in with 10 minutes of light left from the exact direction my decoy was looking, straight up wind. This buck came in on a rope, suggesting the dominant buck in the woods right for my decoy buck. 20 yds in front of me I was able to stop him broadside. One more step and he would have figured out my doe was a piece of cardboard. Let it fly and he piled up in 40 yards. Thank goodness for the rut, he certainly had fight on his mind rather than flight!
