It's on in Iowa!

I know the weather is too warm and too many crops are still in the fields, but from what I saw this morning, things are starting to happen.

I hunted a new piece in cent. Warren Co. this morning. I could only hunt two hours, but I saw over 20 deer! No big bucks, but the two little bucks that I saw were chasing does. I also heard an antler fight deeper in the timber. I am certain that it was not a hunter b/c I heard a lot of crashing and leaves rustling in addition to the antler sounds.

Just my personal observations. But if you have any flex days at work, you may want to use them this week.

While I was driving to work over the last few days, I've seen some real nice 130" class bucks rutting hard in south-east Iowa.  The big bucks are rutting around now...[:)]
