2010 will mark the first year MN hunters can register their deer over the phone or online! Yeah!
Registering in person is an issue sometimes....especially when you hunt in the middle of nowhere, it's 70 degrees overnight, and no registration station is open when you bag that opening day buck right at dusk. Yep....it's happened.
I had to call the local gas station owner at home to see if I could come over to register my deer that night....so I could butcher it up that same night. No way was I going to let it hang overnight.

The MNDNR did that for turkey hunting this spring and it was very simple and easy to do.

Just beware in Zone 3 that you need to register in person. I didn't notice at first, but due to the antler point restrictions they make you bring your deer in.
