These photos arrived in my inbox with "Illinois State Record" in the title. Other than these two photos and that subject line, I know nothing about this buck. Does anyone have a who/what/where about this buck?

I know of 2 incredible deer taken in IL this year, the now famous Edwardsville ear deer, and one in the 250 range was taken near Eldred IL but that was gun. Please keep us posted on this. This deer is ridiculous.

Mike hanback had it on his blog awhile back and said the hunter is [color="#000000"][size="2"][font="arial"]Chris Kiernan and they rough scored the buck at 266 and that they were chasing him for the last couple of years.  Also the buck was shot on November 1st.[/font][/size][/color]

I'm always amazed at how big a whitetail's antlers can be! Truly an awesome animal, congratulations to the hunter!

the report from prairie state outdoors is that the buck has 27 pts on the rt, 17 pts on the lt, but not all are scorable. they had been hunting the buck for 2 yrs. he was shot from either grundy or kendall county close to morris, illinois.
