So far, I've been finding alot more rubs, and scrapes this year than in years past. I'm thinking the pre-Rut seeking phase could arrive early in Illinois! The way the deer are feeding earlier in the evenings packing on talo in the fields, makes me wonder if this could be a bad winter coming up for us this season. I also have a ground hog that has located himself under my old amish barn, maybe he knows something about the coming winter that we don't. This has been a cool summer, with more than average rain fall, and cooler temps. I'm guessing the mild summer weather will roll through into a nasty winter.
