The state DNR has extended the legal firearms hunting hours to an 1/2 hour after sunset. In the past the legal time to harvest a deer was ended at sunset every day of the season. I believe hunters voiced thier opinions to the DNR in hopes of change. They had been upset in the past, seeing deer before they left the hunting areas, that they could not legaly harvest due to the former closing time. They argued that the deer could have been legaly harvested if the hunters would have been bowhunting.
