Just joined the site today - too much snow for deer hunting today. Here are a couple pix from my Moultrie taken this fall.

Thanks for the welcome Buckhunter21. I am located in the UP of Michigan, one hour north of Escanaba in Munising (on shore of Lake Superior) Born and raised in south central WI, the pictures were taken in SW WI where I still bowhunt. Slow year here in the lake effect portion of the UP, locally the kill was down drastically. Too many long winters, predators, etc I guess... A coworker's beagle was killed by wolves yesterday while he was hunting rabbits nearby.

Already looking forward to deer season 2010!

Wow, that's too bad about the beagle.  How does that happen...Don't the dogs stay close when rabbit hunting?

Not a big buck...or even a doe, but it is probably the best quality pic that I've gotten.  The camera is a moultrie I-60.  I guess it's not an '09 either.  Oh well.

Yes, they usually stay pretty close to the beagle. In this case the two brothers were talking between each other and had already taken some shots before they heard a yip from their dog when it was just out of sight. When they got there, it appeared one animal had grabbed the dog at each end and had pulled it, killing it immediately. They ran to the sound of the yip and were there right away, but the animals were gone. Three sets of tracks in the snow leaving the scene, DNR confirmed it was wolves. They seem to be getting more and more bold, I wish they would open a season on them here.

Here's some pictures I got from my trail camera in a little 2 acre piece stuck in the middle of about 100 acres of crops! These are all different bucks. Notice the buck with his eye missing!

Marc- Those are some nice bucks, and the one with the eye missing is really cool to get on a camera.  I think the first and fourth picture are the same buck though.  Notice the time stamp, plus the forked 2 on its right side on both pics and the narrow crab claw on its left side.
