Savage ML 10

Thinking about getting a Savage ML 10 .50 cal this year. I have a couple of buddies that shoot them and swear by them. They said they get 4 inch groups at 300 yards with smokeless powder. They recommended a certain powder to me but I can't remember what it was. Anyone else use these guns? How do they do for you? have you had any problems with them?
