One VERY Important thing to consider....when buying shells/ammunition on-line/over the internet is the companies that advertise cheaper prices in shells stick it to You for shipping and handling fees! [:@] [&:]
It has been tough finding any shells around here all year and especially up to and after Rifle Deer Season, its a good thing I bought a few extra boxes of shells over the past 2 years leading up to the 2009 Deer Season.Like what was mentioned earlier...everyone was panicing that we would be taxed more for buying shells and guns would be harder to purchase,I went to Wal-mart one evening and an older Gentleman was there in the Sporting Goods section,we started talking about how hard is was to find shells and he says he was just checking to see what shells were re-stocked and how he was "OK" for now since he bought over a $1,000.00 worth already........You would think he was stock piling for a dang War?No wonder the everyday Hunter couldn't find a box of shells to save his life! The prices for 30-06 shells were around $20.00-$26.00 a box,the Hornady .243 shells were over $25.00 for 100 grain shells and any of the Magnum or WSM shells were $35.00 to $40.00 a box. Yikes!!!!! [:(]
