I want to start videoing my hunts.  I bow and gun hunt.  What cameras do you guys and gals use to do this.  I am having a hard finding one that is waterproof that will do the job.   Want to mount cam to my stabilizer I think.  Maybe another to my stand.  What do you all do?  Thanks!  Pan

Great question, my wife just bought us a small JVC Everio Hard disk camcorder which has 30 Gb, its supposed to record from 7 to 37 hours. and I'd love to mount this to my bow or elsewhere...I'll also wait for the answers of others.

there is a stabalizer you can get that has a chip in it which you can video tape your hunts. http://www.bowseye.com/ is the link for it.works well from what i hear.. michael waddell uses one on real tree road trips.

Whatever you get, make sure it does at least 640x480 video resolution and I would try before you buy.  Nothing worse then getting something that won't meet your video quality standards.
 
I've been using my Canon Powershot S3 camera in video mode which also allows me to take still pictures on stand.  I use a Gorillapod tridpod http://www.joby.com/products/gorillapod/ that wraps around the shooting rail on my treestand to support it.  It's not ideal but it works and with a little more effort I could probably make it for usable.

here are two good cameras that are used for hunting. one is used on a bow or gun.. while the other can mount to a tree like a trail cam, or bow,gun or even your hat.. thats how they do it on realtree roadtrips for all the weird camera angles they use.
