Handi Rifle problem

I seem to be having a serious problem with my 22-250 handi rifle. I bought it a few years back for some fun long range shooting and varmint. It has been in the closet for the past year because it started to open upon firing. When the shell goes off the action opens. Anyone have some input on how to fix the problem without shipping it in?

Sorry, I've been off turkey hunting.  I would take that puppy to a gun smith.  It probably needs to go back to the factory to be worked on.

Shaman's right, take it to a gunsmith. I had the opposite problem with my handi rifle. The action would stick and was difficult to open. The gunsmith took care of the problem for $30.00.
