Does anyone use the Yardage Pro 1000 ARC rangefinder to bowhunt deer from a tree strand? If so, does the ballistic mode work? I have heard it doesn't. Thank you.

never used one i just pace off spots from my tree stand and put a piece of surveyors tape at know distances.thay look cool though that new one that figures out the angle seems worthwhile,maybe when they come down in price

I just bought one that figures angles. Haven't got it yet. Heard good and bad. Will post when I know. I also used tape. Paid $270 for the 1000 with ARC. Thank you for the reply. Good luck all!

naw but i just got the bushnel cheap one for 149. somthing to start out with. so far i really enjoy it.

I will have to rate this rangefinder very good. It seems very accurate and always reads the same distance to the same target. The ARC does indeed work well even at slight angles (which I was told does not). I have not used it in the woods yet, but will soon. I would suggest this unit if you are concidering getting one. Hope this helps.

I'VE HAD SEVERAL TYPES OF RANGEFINDERS. BUSHNELL WAS TOO SENSITIVE, FOG & WEEDS WOULD PREVENT ACCUARATE READINGS. NIKON IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES. I GOT A NEW LEUPOLD RXII. THE FIRST IME I USED IT I DIDN'T READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. SO AFTER SIX MISSES I READ THE INSTRUCTIONS. YOU MUST SET UP THE FINDER IS SEVERAL AREAS, BUT WHEN YOUR DONE IT WORKS GOOD, BUT I'M AFRAID OF BUMPING THE SETTINGS AND GET A BAD READING, CAUSING ME TO MISS........ NIKON IS MY FAVORITE LEUPOLD WHEN I'M FEELING CONFIDENT.
