County Wants to Tax Deer Stand

I flip houses on the side and am an accountant by trade and I have dealt with plenty of BS from city goverment over nothing so this does not surprise me at all.  I built a modest 12x20 cabin at deer camp this spring and am just waiting for the county accessor to see it and want to charge tax on it.  So as much as it is ridiculous, it is not to shocking.

Indiana? HA! How many former governors do YOU have doing time right now? Compared to The Land Of Corruption, Indiana is pristine! [;)]

And maybe to you it seems bad, but I know of a half dozen people who moved from Illinois to Indiana while still working there because of the lesser taxes, and also of a business who did the same thing.

Ha ... you upstate guys don't know how easy you have it. Had that illegal structure been found in Suffolk county, they would make you tear it down. You could then apply for a building permit which would have to include architectural plans, proof of insurance & Federal EPA & NYS DEC studies.

To comply with the EPA & DEC studies, you would have to prove the structure would cause no harm to the environment including Forests, water sheds, wet land, rivers & streams. You would also have to do air & noise studies to make sure you didn't interfere with adjoining properties.

Finally, you would have to have impact studies to see if sewage, utilities or roads were required, as well as a parking lot sufficient for all guests including handicapped parking & building access.

THEN THE ASSESSOR PAYS YOU A VISIT. [8D]

next they'll want to tax your toilet if you sit onit for more than 5 min all b.s it's to bad we can't move to another country and live tax free and get everything handed to us like the usa does i'd be gone!!!!!!!
