Is good NUGE news newsworthy?

Nugent Breaks Charity Auction Record

08/30/10

Hunt for a Cure's 2010 Camouflage Ball was another huge success, raising more than $62,000 to go toward research to find a cure for cystic fibrosis!!

This event, which boasts an unbelievable list of items in the silent and live auctions, as well a list of guns that would make any outdoor lover drool, was held on August 8th. Among this awesome list are one-of-a kind items donated by the Whack Master himself, Ted Nugent. An autographed skull mount from a beautiful white tail deer set off a furious bidding war in the live auction.

No one in the history of the hunting world has raised more money for more worthwhile causes nationwide. Ted generously donated a hunt for Wild Russian Boar at Sunrize Acres, and this raffle alone raised almost $10,000!! The raffled hunt with Ted has been the biggest source of revenue for the Camo Ball for 10 years in a row!

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disorder so children battle this horrible disease from birth. Special thanks to Ted Nugent for being an important part of the success of this event, which will improve the lives of the children living with cystic fibrosis!

Hunt for a Cure is a good outfit doing great things!

Hunt for a Cure as an organization wants to formally thank Ted Nugent and his family for their generosity over the years. We've coined the phrase "NUGEerosity". Although his politics and his love for this country may ruffle the feathers of some, we love Uncle Ted! Since the inception of our charity, the Godfather of Goodness has donated his time, talents, and resources to help us fight this deadly disease. He never once has asked for publicity or remuneration for his acts of kindness. In a world in which people ask "what's in it for me", the Warrior of the Woods has always placed our organization above his own needs. This man is a true rock star, and we are honored to stand next to him as blood brothers.

The lack of response to this post is very telling when viewed alongside the responses to the negative news. Speaks volumes about the character of people. Piling on when there is blood in the water is great sport and attracts all the sharks. Standing up for a good man when the tide of public opinion has been turned against him isnt everybody's cup of tea.

Good for uncle ted!!! yes he did something he shouldn't have.... and he has paid the price for it according to the laws that govern the hunters in the area it happened in.... he made a mistake... he learned from it ... life goes on.... the thing people don't realize is that his kindness does not start nor stop with hunt for a cure... he does alot more then people realize... but then again... it is alot easier to persecute somebody for their smaller mistakes then to praise them for the greater good they do....
ANYONE WHO TELLS YOU HUNTING IS WRONG... TELL THEM TO READ THE BIBLE:

Now then get your weapons-
Your quiver and your bow-
And go out to the open country-
to hunt some wild game for me
