How high in a tree do you go?

All the ladders I have are 20 ft., so I have to be cautious where I put 'em. I do usually take my climber (summit viper) a little higher (25 ft.) I start to get a little scared at that height.

I hunt anywhere from 13' to 17' high in ladder stands. When I'm set up on a steep hill side that 17' stand seems like it's a mile high.  I have killed my best bucks out of  13' homemade ladder stands. I think making a blind ,or screen around the top of the stand helps alot, if it can be shot over or moved out of the way of the bow shot.
