Camtrakker MK-10

Postby Oakarver » Fri Sep 24, 2010 4:30 pm

I'm surprised this one isn't being discussed here much. But I could say that about any forum [:D]  This is the company that has been around since the late 80's.

Made in the USA.  Comes with 2 rechargeable lead acid batteries, SD memory card..standard and IR flash. $360 plus shipping. Some are finally purchasing/testing them out. Here's one example: http://www.qdma.com/forums/showthread.php?t=36415

An ad someone posted a link to:

I don't have one myself..yet. Might have to wait until next year before I can afford one.

It says "IR"..but it seems to use the regular flash- there's a cover I guess that goes over it for the IR.  We're waiting for an answer from that guy in the forum who actually has one! Well actually the answer we're looking for is- can you see the flash?

Stop reminding me. I can't afford another cam right now [:D]

The "IR" was described by one user as a strobe flash with a IR filter thingy you can put over it.  So why they say "invisible flash"..who knows. They don't highlight it..it's not in their ad..but if you read their website a bit you'll see that mentioned. Not enough to keep me away from wanting one though.

I think tomorrow night I'm going to look for things to sell....

LOl don't sell the wife and kids now!

Im a firm believer in a company that gives a good warrenty like this one 3 years!

Plus I like the distance it will shoot at night and day

guess I will be asking the wife for a early X-mas gift

I've already got people and pets on the "no sell list".  And I'd be better off buying it for myself for Christmas rather than putting it on my Christmas list. Because I KNOW that ain't happening! [8|]

Any updates from the person that does use one of these(at least I think that's what I read when doing a search here)? Maybe there are others too.

Yeah, that's quite a difference [:D]

I'm liking the Environmental unit more and more..except for the price.  If it ever goes on sale..I just might....
