That is neat for only 5$ dollars too. Gonna have to get me one of those.

I don't see how it could tell the weight if the soil isn't consistant in softness.  Average aged deer hooves are like people's feet , they are all different no matter the size or weight of the deer. The trackometer could tell a yearling from a mature deer, but I bet that's all.

yeah.. thats what i was thinking. if it was a right-on tool, why would it only be 5 bucks.

Well as much as it ranks right up there, I'd have to say the top spot is a tie between the molded plastic deer foot that you MUST HAVE in order to make a mock scrape (I guess I'm low-tech, because I've been making deer prints with my fingers since I was a kid!), and the infra-red heat sensing "game trackers", which from personal experience I can say DON'T WORK!
