I shot at a big buck with my 45 cal. Knight D.I.S.C. with a 100 grains pyrodex pushing a PB platinum . He was 150 yards away and when I shot he jogged about 50 yards.I don't think his tail was up and he didn't show any out of the ordinary movements like hunching or kicking. He stopped and looked around for a couple of seconds and started to walk away at a casual pace. After only ten yards of him walking ,I couldn't see him because of the trees. I couldn't find any blood but the light was starting to fade fast when I started to look.
I was just wondering if you guys thought he was hit or not.I've only gotten two deer so far and don't have much experience because I come from a nonhunting family and am mostly teaching myself.
Thanks for any input
