Mathews bows for sale??

I'm looking to ditch my Diamond Rapture due to slow arrows speed after this season. I want to get a Mathews but I don't want to pay an arm and a leg so I'm willing to buy an older, used model. Does anyone know any good sites for buying used bows? I'm not a big fan of e-bay and I've checked out craigslist but still haven't found too much that I'm interested in. Thanks in advance.

Wisbooner, heres what you do.  Find a good bow shop, not a chain like Cabelas or scheels.  Get to know the owner,  Mathews gives the bow shop I go to a "demo" bow every year at the dealer show and he uses it for a year and then sells it.  That is how I got my switchback and reezen.

I got my new Mathews bow off of e-bay this year. It came from an archery shop, so I wasn't too scared. Just need to find people with good reps. I have a few friends that were getting new bows everyother year and didn't know how they could afford it. They told me they used e-bay. So I tried it out and got mine for $500. If you really really don't want to go that way (which I would really suggest) you can go to archery shops and see if they have any unused unsold models that are a little old. I was to Scheels in Eau Claire and saw they had quite a few DXTs and Reasons for sale between $500 and $600. Good Luck! I knew it took me a few months to find out what I really wanted.

I'm not sure where your located but you can call this shop (Hoffman Archery), their a Matthews Dealer. They always have used bows. Ask for Farren or Ryan.....both good guys. Shipping to your location might not be to expensive. Shop number is 540-349-1631.

I've purchase my bow and my sons bow through them and been very happy with Mattews products and there service.

I am not a big fan of buying on-line also. My suggestion would be to check local archery shops. Craiglist in my area has about 35 Mathews bows for sale. Buying from Craiglist I fell is better becuase you can Go to see the bow, touch it and check to see if it is the right bow for you. Meaning draw lenth and draw weight. On most Mathews bows in order to change draw lenth the cam needs to be replaced and sometimes the string if you are change let-off.
 
To bad you don't live in the area, I have a Mathews ultra-max, 70lbs., 80% let-off, 29" draw. With Trophy Ridge sight and NAP drop away rest and 6 carbon express maxima hunter arrows at 29" fpr sale.

I have bought bows etc on there and not a problem. Not sure how long you are waiting but based on prior years end of summer you will even find shops selling prior year models for incredible prices NIB.  There will also be alot of guys that dump this years bow in spring to get a new one.

Awsome advice guys, thanks! I'm gonna go check out a couple shops around the area once the season is over and I'm done using the one I have now. Eberhaar863828, those sound like some steals, I may have to give Scheels a call and run up there some day. I live about 45 minutes north of Madison (WI) by the way. Thanks again guys!
