Bow season has been open over a week now in our great state of Kentucky and I am sure some of you have some pictures or at least some great stories to tell. Me personally have been doing my best rain dance for the last month praying for as much moisture as I can get for the countless dollars worth of seed I have planted. How is everyone elses food plots doing this year?
Congradulations Angus! & to you shaman. I don't now who looks more excited. What a great feeling, huh. I still have not had any luck myself, but we went camping last weekend at Jenney Whiley State Park. While we were there we went on a Elk Tour and got to see a 17 year young lady take a 6x6 Bull. I may never get lucky enough to be drawn, but I did get to see someone else who was lucky enough take hers. Sure was awesome.
Congrats to you all again Shaman. Looks like the boys are filling the freezer for you this year. I guess that means you can hold out for the BIG ONE now!! I got a nice doe last Sunday to start filling my freezer also (Bracken Co.) sorry no pics, batteries in camera were dead[:'(] and had to get her to the processor with the temps. I seen alot of deer, but only one 1.5 year old buck. It's your turn now, Good Luck Shaman, and all.
Nice buck ky_hunter. Looks like you gave him a good case of blue tongue! My buddy's son took a nice 12 pointer last saturday evening. His best deer to date. Good luck and stay safe this upcoming gun season.
Opening morning of gun season, I took this nice 8 pointer. If I would have waited 10 minutes I would have had a shot on a much nicer 8 pointer. But I'm happy with just having the oppurtunity to take whatever the Good Lord Blesses me with. Hope everyone else is having a good season. Good Luck and lets see some of the success pictures!
Here's mine: Monday morning 0815 or so. I took him with a Savage 99 in 308 WIN from an elevated stand. This 8 . . . okay it's a 9 pointer fell to an estrus bleat and stood broadside out in a pasture at 100 yards.
