I'm down to a doe tag as well, but it's still fun to get out there!

I have only seen a few small bucks this year, but many does have crossed my path this year. However I have been busy with college and football, so I haven't been able to do a lot of hunting let alone scouting.

Halloween night ended up good however, I rattled in this younger 8 pointer. When he came in to 15 yards broadside I put an ol Rage tipped axis through his ribs. Not the biggest buck ever but he is a trophy bow buck for me, and I have some prime venison now. Have been seeing a lot of rutting sign increasing lately, so good luck to all you guys still needing to fill tags.

Ok, I uploaded them onto facebook, and Youtube. I will put the links for anyone to see.
Got my biggest deer so far this year, an almost 10 pointer (might not be an inch), on the run after a doe on the highline. 155#
The youtube link is to a video I took of a forked spike making a rub under my stand.

Thanks! We hunt 200 acres just a little east of Grand Rapids. I guess that might still be considered central :-) I live in Brainerd though.

What a frustrating weekend. Saw some deer but the excessive wind and impolite hunters did not benefit my wood edge stand overlooking a CRP field. Hopefully relocating and a possible change in the weather helps the rest of the week go a little better.

Question for anybody who feels like answering, do many of you have issues with hunters not being polite or paying any mind to anybody else in the woods?

I had some trouble with some fellow hunters who were hunting the land next to the land I am hunting. They essentially made my CRP overlooking stand unusable. On both Saturday and Sunday morning I entered my stand at 6:25 in order to let things settle a little before shooting light. I am very careful to be quiet and not to disturb the area while entering. On both mornings at 7:30 a.m. a group of 3 to 4 hunters entered their land from the land I am on walking directly behind my stand talking and making a ton of noise. They would then spread out at 100 yard intervals on the land that I hunt to enter their land. Their hunting spots were very close to where I was set up, but it was on their property so I have no issues with where they chose to sit on their land. Saturday morning two of them exited their stands into the field I was hunting and walked towards me and then re-entered their land, 30 seconds after re-entering their land, about 40 to 50 yards from me, they took a doe. I was unaware that they would be hunting this area as the land owner of the property I hunt never told us about them. I wouldn't have even gone back to that stand on the second morning but they didn't hunt that area Saturday evening and their vehicle wasn't there this morning. It made for a frustrating couple of mornings and I will absolutely be relocating to an area with less pressure.
