Deerbill, good luck on your hunt. Dont feel bad about hitting your quiver. We all have stories like that. I miss a doe last week because I didnt stand up in my stand and when I shot I hit the smallest twig on branch right infront of me. My arrow did a nose dive and hit the ground 11 yards short of her. The funny thing is she was only 25 yards away, so I can say, "I know your pain". Again, good luck and keep all of us posted on how you and your father in law make out.

Its funny how all the planning and sighting-in and practice etc.go out the window due to crazy things that happen out there.Hitting the quiver is a great example...like Soxfan said,its happened to all of us.And if it hasnt happened yet,dont worry,it will.Nobody out there is perfect all the time.I missed a buck on opening day last yr with soxfan because i used a release that opened up as i was drawing back.[:@]The arrow went 20 feet and the deer ran away..should have made sure it was right before i drew.Like they say,we'll get em next time.

Whats up guys...I been hunting hard all year 5 to 6 days a week and lastnight it happen...I a nice 8pt at 30 yards...A group of 20 deer came in to my stands two 4 pt, one spike, one 6 pt, and a lot of doe...When i pulled back my bow all the deer run but the 8 he just jumped and took a step into my shooting lane...he ran 30 yards and droped in front of me.

Nice buck Massman!!!! Welcome to the doe only club for the month of December..lol. Sounds like you got a real nice piece of property. Ive been waiting for you to post a pic like that, after seeing your trailcam pics earlier this year. Way to go.

nj would you happen to be the guy with the older mq32? if so i do remember you tom got that bow shooting darts. the guys on this forum are all good guys. we try to get together for a beer but with work and family it gets tough.This is my first post in months trying to get the new house done before christmas, and getting out this year has been not easy ya know, well good luck talk to ya soon
