Shed Hunting 2011

Postby MG11 » Sun Jan 16, 2011 3:02 pm

Has anyone been out to look for sheds yet or spotted bucks that have dropped an antler?
A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be... time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, animals, and fish that live there. -Fred Bear

My buddy chuck took a spike the 14th in southern Jackson county Mo I helped him quater it in his barn and it only had one side the other spike was gone like it hsd shedded. Chuck thought it somehow got knocked off Prematurely because the one it had was on there good I smaked it with a hammer and it wouldnt come off. check out this link the MDC says from late December through mid-February is prime time for Missouri bucks to shed their antlers.
