mossberg 835

i have a mossberg 835 and the camo is coming off of the backside of the reciever. what would cause this to happen, can heat cause this. it only two years old.

Heat, maybe, but not on the back of the receiver.  I would think it was some kind of contamination prior to being camo dipped.  Maybe someone grabbed the receiver there after it was prepped, but before it was dipped.  That would be my guess.
