Craig Netzer
Associate Publisher
craig.netzer@fwpubs.com
Years deer hunting: 33
Preferred seasons: (bow, gun, muzzleloader, all): I love them all, but I prefer bow-hunting.
What Do You Like Most About Working for D&DH?
“Working with men who share your passion is probably what’s so great about my job. Not a day goes by where I don’t get out of bed and — before anything else — I look out the window to see what’s in the woods behind my house. When driving down the roads to work, I look into the fields and woods to catch a glimpse of a thumper buck more than looking ahead on the road. It’s rather a sickness actually, but it’s nice to be working with other individuals who share in my sickness!”
Bio:
Netzer has worked at Krause Publications since 2002 and joined the Outdoors Division staff in 2007. Besides his work on D&DH, he also works closely with the Gun Digest and Blade Magazine staffs. A talented artist, he has also served as an art director and promotions manager at Krause Publications.

Daniel E. Schmidt
Editor-in-Chief
dan.schmidt@fwpubs.com
Years of Deer Hunting Experience: 26
Preferred seasons: Bow-hunting, shotgun, rifle, muzzleloader.
What Do You Like Most About Working for D&DH?
"I am humbled by the fact that I get to work closely with the nation's top deer behaviorists, biologists and hunters. The magazine's readers are the types of people I would hand pick for a 'Dream Team' deer camp. They are just as addicted to whitetails as we are, which makes coming to 'work' extremely satisfying."
BIO:
Dan Schmidt was about to graduate eighth grade in 1981 when his English teacher asked him and classmates to write theme papers on their career aspirations. Schmidt's goal? "To work for a magazine like Deer & Deer Hunting."
After earning a bachelor's degree in journalism and then working in the newspaper business for several years, Schmidt fulfilled his dream when he joined the editorial staff of D&DH in 1995. He was named editor in 2002.
Schmidt has hunted whitetails in 16 states and three Canadian provinces. He especially enjoys bow-hunting, and has harvested more than 70 deer while using archery equipment.
Besides his work on D&DH, Schmidt has written the critically acclaimed book, Whitetail Wisdom: A Proven 12-Step Guide to Scouting Less & Hunting More. He has also edited eight other books, including 25 Years of Deer & Deer Hunting: The Original Stump Sitters Magazine.
Schmidt's credits also include regular segments on Deer & Deer Hunting TV, plus many other appearances on national deer hunting videos, TV shows and radio programs.

Jacob Edson
Managing Editor
jacob.edson@fwpubs.com
Years of Deer Hunting Experience: 16
Preferred seasons: Bow, rifle, shotgun, muzzleloader.
What Do You Like Most About Working for D&DH?
"Deer & Deer Hunting was an integral part of my introduction and education as a whitetail hunter. While growing up, I often dreamed about writing for this magazine which eventually led to my pursuit of a career as an editor and brought me to F+W Publications. Now, I am privileged to work on the premier deer hunting magazine in the country and am able to live my passion every single day. The most enjoyable part of my job is that I learn something new about deer behavior or hunting almost every time I come to work."
BIO:
Jacob Edson has been an editor in the F+W Outdoors group for five years, and was previously editor of a weekly outdoors publication in Minnesota. He grew up hunting the big woods of far northern Minnesota and still prefers to hunt large wilderness areas.

Armed with degrees in English and Journalism, Jim Schlender earned his first job in the outdoors industry with a magazine publisher when he was 23 years old. He then worked for Cabela's as a catalog copywriter and in public relations at the company's Sidney, Nebraska, headquarters before finally moving back to Wisconsin — his home and headquarters of D&DH — in 2002.

Chris Adamski
Advertising Representative
chris.adamski@fwpubs.com
Years of Deer Hunting Experience: 28
Preferred season: Bow-Hunting
What Do You Like Most About Working for D&DH?
"Where else can you get first hand experience/knowledge on all of the new gear and advice for whitetail hunting? Although I have been hunting whitetails for close to 30 years, there is always more that I can learn and for that to be part of my day job, how can it get any better than this?"
BIO:
Chris has been with Krause Publications for close to 10 years, transferring from one passion, Sports Collectibles, to Outdoors and Deer & Deer Hunting earlier this year. What he enjoys the most about hunting whitetails, especially while bow-hunting, is all of the little things. "The sound of approaching game and the anticipation that goes along with it, you never know what nature will provide you on any given day. Truly, there is no other place that I'd rather be than up in my tree stand taking it all in."

Corey Graff
Online Editor
corey.graff@fwpubs.com
Years of Deer Hunting Experience: 21
Preferred season: Handguns, muzzleloaders
What Do You Like Most About Working for D&DH?
"A bottle of Code Blue Standing Estrous doe-in-heat deer urine was found in my desk on my first day. My neighbors include a wall of mounted deer heads. There are more guns and bows around here than a sporting goods store. And I get to work with a bunch of turkeys. But what I really appreciate about working for Deer & Deer Hunting is being part of a rich tradition, and the immense talent I am surrounded with on a daily basis -- from the editors, publishers and advertising reps to the magazine's contributors."
BIO:
Corey Graff comes from a freelance writing, photography, graphic- and web-design background, and has written for many national and state publications, including Wisconsin Outdoor Journal. In addition to his former role as Internet Director for Ted Nugent United Sportsmen of America, Graff is a member of the Outdoor Writers Association of America (OWAA). He is an active lobbyist who is deeply committed to protecting the Second Amendment.
