When accuracy, speed and penetration all matter, cutting down the diameter of a hunting arrow can offer some real advantages. Easton’s 4MM Axis Long Range Match Grade takes the company’s proven AXIS platform and packages it in a micro-diameter carbon shaft built for precision-minded bowhunters.
The 4MM Axis Long Range is constructed from 100% ACU-Carbon fiber and designed to reduce friction in flight and after impact. Its small-diameter profile helps minimize wind resistance while allowing the shaft to follow more efficiently behind the broadhead through the wound channel.
Match Grade Precision
The Match Grade version is held to a straightness specification of ±.001 inch, giving bowhunters a tightly controlled shaft for builds where consistency and accuracy are priorities.
The arrows are available in four popular hunting spine sizes — 250, 300, 340 and 400 — with shaft weights ranging from 9.8 grains per inch for the 250 spine to 7.6 grains per inch for the 400.
Built for Hunting FOC
Easton includes its 55-grain 4MM Aluminum Match Grade Half-outs, which add weight at the front of the arrow to help build a hunting setup with increased front-of-center balance.
Each shaft also comes with a 4MM Microlite nock pre-installed and is compatible with standard-thread 8-32 broadheads and field points, giving hunters plenty of options when building an arrow around their preferred broadhead.
Micro-Diameter Performance
The combination of a 4MM profile, carbon construction and Match Grade straightness is designed for bowhunters looking for a balance of velocity, accuracy and penetration. The reduced shaft diameter also means less surface area for crosswinds to push against — an advantage when shooting at longer distances or hunting in windy conditions.
