When your deer hunting takes you into timber, thick cover, a treestand or a box blind, a compact rifle can make getting into position a whole lot easier. The Franchi Momentum Carbine Elite takes the company’s Momentum bolt-action platform and puts it into a shorter, maneuverable hunting package.
The Momentum Carbine Elite pairs Franchi’s compact Evolved Ergonom-X stock with a free-floated, cold-hammer-forged barrel and a fluted three-lug bolt with a short 60-degree throw. Franchi accuracy-tests the rifle to provide a 1-MOA guarantee with premium factory ammunition.
Four Hunting Calibers
The Momentum Carbine Elite is currently offered in four chamberings:
- 6.5 Creedmoor
- .308 Winchester
- .350 Legend
- .400 Legend
The 6.5 Creedmoor version uses a 20-inch barrel, while the .308 Winchester and .350 Legend models use 18-inch barrels. For 2026, Franchi added the .400 Legend to the lineup with an 18-inch fluted barrel, giving hunters another straight-wall cartridge option.
Compact Without Giving Up Features
The rifle wears Franchi’s Terra camo pattern with a Cobalt Cerakote finish on the barrel and receiver for added protection from the elements.
A one-piece Picatinny rail comes standard for mounting optics, while an adjustable cheek piece helps the hunter establish a consistent position behind the rifle. The Carbine Elite also includes two detachable box magazines and an M-LOK forend.
Built Around the Shot
Franchi’s Relia single-stage trigger is adjustable from 2 to 4 pounds. The company’s TSA recoil pad is designed to reduce felt recoil while providing a shape that won’t easily snag on clothing when the rifle is shouldered.
The free-floated light-contour barrel is paired with a threaded muzzle, muzzle brake and thread protector. Integrated sling mounts are molded into the stock to keep protruding hardware from interfering with handling.
A Hunting Rifle Made to Move
The Momentum Carbine Elite is designed around the kind of hunting where maneuverability matters — climbing into a stand, moving through timber, hunting from a compact blind or carrying a rifle through thick cover.
With four chamberings now available, including both .350 Legend and .400 Legend for hunters interested in straight-wall cartridges, Franchi has expanded the compact Momentum platform to cover an even wider range of deer-hunting applications.
