Bowhunting has been gaining exponential popularity among both women and youth, and Rage has responded with the introduction of its new SS broadhead, specifically designed for those with shorter draw lengths or lighter draw weights.
The SS is specially designed for use with bow draw weights that generate less than 40 foot-pounds of kinetic energy. The new Rage SS will replace the Rage 40KE and will be available at retailers nationwide this spring.
With its 1.5-inch cutting diameter, the Rage SS utilizes the same aluminum-alloy ferrule design and cut-on-contact Instant-Cut leading-edge blade used on the immensely popular Rage X-Treme broadhead. But the new SS incorporates a more sweeping blade angle to provide even more penetration on big game for low kinetic-energy bows. This patented design maintains energy longer and penetrates deeper than similar broadheads.
The 2-blade, 100-grain Rage SS features surgically sharp .038 stainless steel blades, which improve the cutting performance even on the toughest prey. The Rage SS has an in-flight diameter of 3/4-inch for field-tip-level accuracy. Incorporating Rage’s proven Shock Collar blade-retention system, the Rage SS ensures that blades stay in place until they hit their target.
The green ferrule makes the new Rage SS broadhead easily recognizable. The suggested retail price is $44.99 for a three-pack with a practice head.
