Ol’ Man Hang-On Stands Offer Two Ways to Hunt From Above

Not every treestand hunter wants the same thing from a hang-on. Some want a light, simple stand they can carry deeper into the woods. Others want enough room and comfort to stay put from first light through the afternoon. Ol’ Man Outdoors covers both ends of that spectrum with the Eagle Eye and Top Dog Deluxe steel hang-on treestands.

Ol’ Man Eagle Eye: Built to Stay Mobile

At 17 pounds, the Ol’ Man Eagle Eye OT-501 is the lighter of the two stands and is designed for hunters who put a premium on portability and a straightforward setup.

The steel stand features a 26-by-20-inch platform and an 18-by-12-inch heavy-duty fabric seat. The seat flips up when additional standing room is needed, while the textured powder-coated steel frame provides a rugged, low-profile platform for mobile hunting setups.

For hunters who frequently adjust stand locations or have a longer walk to reach a setup, the Eagle Eye keeps the package relatively simple without giving up usable platform space.

Ol’ Man Top Dog Deluxe: Room for the Long Haul

The Top Dog Deluxe OT-504 takes the opposite approach, adding comfort features for hunters who expect to spend long hours in one location.

The 35.75-pound steel hang-on features an oversized 35.75-by-24-inch platform and a 20.5-by-15.5-inch flip-up Textilene seat with a full backrest. Padded armrests, an integrated footrest and an adjustable padded shooting rail provide additional support during extended sits.

The larger platform also gives hunters more room to reposition when a deer approaches from an unexpected direction or when a standing shot is required.

Pick the Stand That Fits the Hunt

The Eagle Eye and Top Dog Deluxe are built around different priorities. The Eagle Eye trims weight for the hunter who values mobility, while the Top Dog Deluxe adds space and comfort for hunters who plan to stay on stand longer.

Both use heavy-duty steel construction with a textured powder-coat finish, giving hunters two distinctly different hang-on options within the Ol’ Man lineup.
