Proceeds from the upcoming Deer Fest will go to Adopt-A-Box, a local charity designed to provide children in 20 north Texas counties in need with basic hygiene items and clothing.
Deer Fest will be held Aug. 2 at the MPEC Exhibit Hall in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Adopt-A-Box is a local charity designed to provide children in 20 north Texas counties in need with basic hygiene items and clothing. Each school day hundreds of area students must face their friends and teachers without the benefits of basic personal grooming, hygiene products and adequate clothing. The Adopt-a-Box campaign aims to give these children the tools to start each day confident, proud and ready to learn by providing them with a shoebox stocked with a toothbrush, toothpaste, comb, soap, shampoo, deodorant and other items that most of us would call necessities.
This year’s Deer Fest will feature guest appearances from Liz the “Gator Queen” and Brandon and Chase Landry from the History Channel’s show Swamp People. Matt Duff, the Major League Bowhunter, and his wife, Jesse Duff, a World and National champion shooter, are also coming.
There will also be other celebrity appearances, vendor booths, live and silent auction items, and live entertainment. A corner of the exhibit hall will be designated as Kids Corner! Attend a family-friendly day of hunting and fishing fun from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m.
