Arrow Points The Old Way

Once primitive man figured out he could jab, poke, spear, kill and cut plants or animals with stones, he then had to figure out how to do it more efficiently. Knapping evolved through the years from crude edges into scalpel-sharp tools for defense, hunting and daily life. Today, flint knapping is still popular with many who enjoy turning a seemingly plain hunk of rock into a finely honed tool for hunting or display. Knapping events are held throughout the country each year along with traditional archery and rendezvouz events.
