Tiny Deer Found With Head In A Bag

A Monroe County sheriff’s deputy found a Florida Keys deer wandering around last weekend with its head covered by a Doritos bag.

No official word if the deer had the munchies, but it was fine and dandy after after the deputy removed the bag. The deer didn’t put up a fight when it was being removed, either, according to a report in The Miami Herald.

The deputy found the deer on Big Pine Key, one of the small islands that comprise the Florida Keys. The deer on the islands are the smallest of the Virginia deer subspecies and are protected from hunting.

The deer are tiny, though, so sometimes they’re hit by vehicles and eaten by critters. Development on the islands also has affected them, along with hurricanes and flooding from those.
