In April 2011, Deer & Deer Hunting staff visited Johnny King to have a look at the famous rack of antlers. Here are photos from that visit.

According to B&C rules, antler points that grow close together must allow for a ¼-inch steel space to be placed between them in a flat position, allowing for the “circumference” measurement. The King Buck’s rack easily allows for these measurements. One of King’s shots center-punched the left main beam, just below the brow tine. Interestingly, the buck was a clean 10-pointer the previous year. A neighboring farmer found those sheds about a mile from where the deer was eventually killed.
