Wolves Photographed Before Killing Buck in Minnesota

How’s this for a surprise when checking on your trail camera?

A northern Minnesota resident captured these haunting images of gray wolves after putting out his Bushnell Trophy Cam in a deer hunting area. After scouring the area, the landowner found the ravaged carcass of a 2-1/2-year-old buck. The final image shows three big wolves on the hunt (look closely).

Wolves hunt deer much like humans would when making a deer drive. Some of the pack members act as “standers,” while the others flush deer toward them.
