Just when you thought hunting bows couldn’t get lighter, smoother and quieter, it seems that Matt McPherson has pulled out another engineering feat out of his seemingly bottomless magic hat.
Earlier today, McPherson, founder of Mathews Inc. and Solocam technology, unveiled the 2012 Mathews Heli-m™, calling it the "most technologically advanced lightweight bow ever offered."
The bow is packed with features. It measures just 30 inches from axle to axle, has an 80-percent let-off module, and comes in half-inch draw lengths from 26.5 inches to 30 inches.
The Heli-m™ features the new advanced GeoGrid™ riser, Harmonic Stabilizer Lite™, and a lightweight Reverse Assist® Roller Guard which results in a super smooth draw. The Heli-m™ also packs two decades’ worth of single-cam advancements into the all-new Heli-m™ Cam which produces speeds up to 332 feet per second with a generous 7” brace height.
