Last October while hunting in Ohio with Heartland Wildlife Institute, we had the chance to try out the new TenPoint Crossbows lighted nocks, which at the time still were in a bit of development stage to work out some final tweaks.
The Omni-Brite system worked well for our group, with six of us killing bucks out of Banks Blinds with TenPoint crossbows and bolts fitted with NAP Killzone broadheads. Sabrina Simon with TenPoint told me a few weeks later they were making some final adjustments but believed the nocks would be available soon.
She was right, as TenPoint announced at the ATA Show that the new Omni-Brite Lighted Nock System will be available April 1. The system incorporates a nock-receiver insert with a six-sided interior cavity designed to accept a combined LED Unit and transparent pegged Omni-Brite Nock. The Nock Receiver glues into the nock-end of the arrow and must be indexed or aligned with the vanes.
Consumers will be able to buy a package with translucent Omni-Nocks, LED Units, nock receivers (for arrows with shaft sizes .297, .300, .306 I.D), a nock receiver and alignment tool, and a refletching tool. They’ll be available as a 3-pack or 6-pack.
