The Hyper Pod 2 is an extendable bipod, and walking stick, that was developed to enhance and combine the capabilities of a bipod, monopod, tripod and trekking stick. The Hyper Pod 2 can supply a shooter a steady rest from four main shooting positions: prone position, sitting, kneeling and standing.
Uses:
The Hyper Pod 2 is used for accurate shooting while in:
- Hunting/stalking
- Tactical operations
- Sighting in firearms
- Spotlighting and shooting from vehicle
Advantages of the Hyper Pod 2:
- Enhanced shooting positions. Some positions a shooter will encounter where a standard bipod or shooting pole/tripod cannot be used are:
- On a steep slope where a shot needs to be taken across the valley. The ground beneath falls away too steep and therefore a bipod has no resting point, but the Hyper Pod 2 easily provides a good rest to steady the shot from optional positions, laying prone, sitting, kneeling and standing.
- On a flat surface and a shot needs to be taken at an elevated target in the slopes ahead.
- On a fallen tree, the shot may need to be taken at a decline or incline. Hyper Pod 2 is ideal in this situation.
- In grassy fields, elevation is required to clear the grass to get a clear line of site. The Hyper Pod 2 can be extended to get over tall obstacles blocking line of sight.
- Off vehicles (back of the ute). Provides great angles, almost limitless.
- Consistent accuracy. The position in which the rifle is supported encourages consistency due to the floating nature of how the rifle is rested. Natural recoil is allowed to occur normally without deviation from a solid rest on the forend.
- Silent adjustability will not give away your position while setting up your shot.
- Easier portability: The Hyper Pod 2 closes up to a short-length pole, thus creating easy storage feature and easy carrying around in the field when in use or not in use. It can be clipped onto the rifle, folding down under the rifle, which allows a gun sling to be used as normal, it does not get in the way as it tucks under the shooters arm, an is light weight. The clever quick release and weaver design makes it easy to remove and use as a walking pole.
- Fast and smooth elevation adjustments are done without losing sight of the acquired target.
- The structure being made predominantly of carbon fibre and alloy is not only lightweight but also corrosion proof.
- There is a swivel adjustment to allow for tilting to keep the crosshairs level on uneven ground.
Advantages Over Similar Rigs:
- No other gun rest in the world can support accuracy for the shooter’s firearm in four field positions.
- Comparing to bipods: No obstacles, elevations or declines can render the Hyper Pod 2 useless. Where a bipod fails, the Hyper Pod 2 thrives. Even with bipods featuring extendable legs, it takes too long and requires the shooter to momentarily take the eyes off the target to adjust, thus risking losing sight of the quarry.
- Comparing to monopods: The stability of support from a v-mouthed monopod is near useless, actually causing unbalance and an undesirable sway. The Hyper Pod 2 counters that disadvantage by using a small-width bipod at the base, which supplies enough support to reduce the sideways sway, but not too much spread to cause difficulty finding even ground for support.
- At the top of the pole, the dual pivot mount used as a quick release attachment is tension controlled. Which means the rifle doesn’t move involuntarily, creating far better support for the ability to hold the rifle still. The folding capability compared to other monopods means it can be packed and stored better than most.
- Comparing to tripods: Basically, the best advantage over tripods is portability, weight, stealth and far more shooting positions can be used. The ability to carry the Hyper Pod 2 on the firearm is unmatched for convenience.
- Compared to MaXbox: Elevation options far superior. More positions and easier portability.
