After high school, Miranda headed to Michigan’s upper peninsula to build his own log cabin and launch his professional trapping career. Several years later, he found himself in South Dakota, working as agovernment trapper and hunter mastering the art of trapping and honing his skills.

Miranda has written five books, created more than 60 how-to trapping and hunting videos, and has hosted award-winning television shows for two decades. He has taken more than 50 whitetail deer on video and the 29 North American big game animals, all with a bow, while also pursuing big game in Africa and around the world.
