Posts and stories are growing on the web faster than kudzu in summer about a potential world record non-typical whitetail killed in Indiana, and it’s a monster!

At first blush you might say, “Indiana? Seriously?” But the Hoosier State turns out a few dandy bucks each year and this gob-stopper reportedly killed last autumn definitely is a head-turner.

Tim Walmsley with Heartland Outdoors has a few more photos and some info about the buck. It reportedly measured more than 309 on the Boone & Crockett system, and could surpass the Lovstuen Buck killed in Albia, Iowa, in 2003.

B&C reportedly has received a score sheet on the Indiana buck from an official scorer. If confirmed, it could be the largest non-typical killed by a hunter. Other “pickups” found by shed hunters or hunters have scored higher.
