Deer & Deer Hunting Sees Record Growth Under New Ownership

Deer & Deer Hunting’s multimedia footprint is flourishing like never before as the brand marks six months under the ownership of Media 360 LLC.

Since being acquired from F+W Media Inc. last July, Deer & Deer Hunting has seen dramatic increases in circulation, TV viewership, online traffic and digital growth. Web traffic alone has increased 156%, while TV is up 29%.

The biggest success story centers on the brand’s digital platform. Deer & Deer Hunting online videos are poised to surpass 50-million annual viewers for the first time in the robust platform’s 10-year history. In the first six months under Media 360 LLC, the brand’s four online video players have driven more than 24.3 million views. This is in addition to the millions of TV viewers provided by Pursuit Channel and its subsidiaries. 

Overall online traffic is up as well. Under Media 360 LLC’s ownership, www.deeranddeerhunting.com has attracted more than 3.2 million unique visitors.

For 2020, Media 360 LLC will produce four television shows. “Deer & Deer Hunting TV” was watched by more than 490,000 viewers monthly for its recently completed 15th season. Other shows in the portfolio include “Land of Whitetail TV,” “DeerTech TV,” and “Grow ’em Big TV.” The shows are part of Saturday Night Deer Camp, a 2-hour block of programming on Pursuit Channel.

“Grow ’em Big TV,” hosted by Steve Bartylla, is an expansion of D&DH’s popular online series. Another new show, “DeerTech TV,” will be the “how it’s made” of the hunting industry and debuts later this summer. D&DH has also partnered with the network to provide viewers all of Media 360’s TV shows on the new PursuitUP digital app.

Also under the new ownership, the D&DH social media footprint has increased by 25.8% and now totals more than 1.2 million followers across Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest.
