Celebrated for its beautiful landscapes and its status as an exclusive playground for the rich and famous, New York’s Hamptons also plays host to a large population of whitetail deer. This week, the Destination Whitetail cameras check out what the area has to offer hunters and how the community is split on how to deal with the deer overpopulation issues.
Viewers will meet former members of the East Hampton town council and a local hunter, all of whom discuss how urban bowhunting could be the solution for the spread of Lyme disease and automobile accidents associated with the whitetail deer problem.
The show and its coverage of The Hamptons’ deer issue was featured here in The East Hampton Star recently. The town has battled the problem with incredible overpopulation of deer, Lyme disease, auto accidents and the inevitable fight between animal rights activists and anti-hunters with those who agree with hunting and sharpshooters to cull the deer.
This second episode of the third season also features the television debut of Maxim cover model and huntress Brittney Leigh Glaze. She joins Lauren Rich as co-host for the third season of Destination Whitetail.
