Remember this story from earlier this year, about the monster Indiana buck nicknamed “Nightmare” by hunters and its demise at the gun of a nighttime jacklighter?
The saga about that buck hasn’t died.

According to this report in the Indianapolis Star, Tom Miller says he has not been given the antlers from Nightmare despite being promised their return by the game warden who busted the poacher. Miller said Indiana Department of Natural Resources Conservation Officer Jeff Wells told him he could keep the antlers and now the DNR says they won’t return the rack.
Miller has hired an attorney to pursue the issue. Miller told the newspaper the wildlife agency said it is afraid he might try to sell the antlers, and the antlers also might make other hunters jealous.
Miller’s attorney has sent formal letters to the Indiana DNR director and the state’s Natural Resources Commission requesting the antlers be returned.
