Jesse Schroeder was shed-hunting on his brother’s 32-acre property this spring when he found a whitetail of epic proportions.

The “dead head” was that from a magnificent 277+ inch nontypical. It is not known how the wild, free-ranging deer died. The rack is believed to be in line as a new record for the state of Minnesota.
