Trespasser Holds Bowhunter at Gunpoint (Video)

Here is a scary incident that took place in November 2022. The video below was filmed by a bowhunter in a blind on a leased property in Michigan. He was confronted by a man who was pointing an AR at him. The hunter, named Brendan Fitzpatrick, was scared for his life. Warning: explicit language is used in the video below.

Fitzpatrick gave more context to the story on his YouTube channel where he uploaded the video on Nov. 25, 2023. He claims he tried to press charges but was told per the prosecuting attorney he did not have enough evidence. The unnamed man told the cops that Fitzpatrick was stalking his kids through a tent on his property. “I was 50 ft from his property line in a blind that was out there for over 3 months looking over a food plot that we planted. All windows facing his property were closed…. I am not trying to play victim, I just want to make sure a message is sent to this guy to let him know that this is not okay…” said Fitzpatrick in the description of his video.

Fitzpatrick’s brother also hunted the evening of Nov. 25, 2023, (over a year later from original incident) and the same man as in the original video saw him while he was walking to his treestand (150+ yards from the property line), according to the video description. He opened fire with his AR into a thicket and bullets were whizzing under his brother’s stand for over an hour. “My brother waived his orange hat, the guy continued to shoot. My brother yelled, ‘You’re the idiot who held my brother at gunpoint last year, you won’t get away with this, the cops are on the way!'” Fitzpatrick further explained. The man trespassed onto the leased property yet again, shouting, “What, are you afraid to talk to the guy with the gun?!” The brother stayed in his stand to avoid being hit by a stray bullet. “Police and DNR say there is nothing that can be done again! How can we escalate, send a message to this guy, and get some Justice? We currently can not hunt half of our lease as concerned for our safety,” said Fitzpatrick. He also commented on his video that he is taking his case to the state police and getting a Civil Standby so he can post no trespassing signs.
