A rifle sling can be so much more than just an accessory for shouldering your rifle. It’s an important tool that can enhance shooting accuracy if applied correctly.
Gunsite Academy shooting instructor Il Ling New schools DDH Editor Gordy Krahn on how to properly deploy a gun sling to stabilize the rifle in the kneeling position. Krahn was at the Gunsite Academy for a few days in March to go through some instructional training and get some of their best tips for shooting rifles in big game scenarios.
Despite his decades of hunting and shooting experience, and working with top-class shooters as an editor and also in the field, Krahn learned a few new things during his visit. Anytime you get a chance to hone your skills or broaden your experiences, it’s a good thing. Check out this great shooting tip he learned at Gunsite.
In case you’re wondering, the rifle is Mossberg’s new-for-2015 Scout.
