Which reticle is best for your hunting rifle’s scope?
Does it matter if you’re using a 3-9×40 scope or should you bump up to a 3-9×50? Does that bigger number mean you’ll have better results?
Hunters often have these questions, and others, about the optics for deer hunting or hunting other game. Additionally, we hear questions about scopes for slug guns, crossbows and rifles. Which ones are best? Why? What do I need? How much power does a scope need?
Trent Marsh of Hawke Optics is today’s guest on Deer Talk Now, and he’ll answer some of those questions! He joins hosts Dan Schmidt and Alan Clemons of Deer & Deer Hunting on the show, which airs at 12 p.m. Central from Deer & Deer Hunting headquarters in Wisconsin. Deer Talk Now is presented by Mathews, Carbon Express and ICOtec.
Marsh also will be shedding some light on the Hawke’s new Tracer line of lithium ion batteries and spotlights, which can be affixed to your firearm barrel for nighttime predator hunting or used to track game (or get you out of the woods, if you get turned around after dark).
Join us Wednesday for Deer Talk Now with Steven Rinella, and then mark it on your calendar to tune in weekly at 12 p.m. Central. Watch previous episodes in our Deer Talk Now Archives, featuring guests including Ted Nugent, Donald Trump Jr., Don Higgins, Mark Drury, Matt McPherson and others!
