Wildlife Biologist Named Nevada Director

Tony Wasley, a longtime wildlife biologist with specialization in mule deer, has been named director of the Nevada Department of Wildlife.

Wasley was named by Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval, who earlier this year forced the previous director to resign. Reports say Wasley’s 16 years with the agency and background dealing with myriad agencies was key in Sandoval’s consideration.

Wasley is a member of The Wildlife Society, Nevada Bighorns Unlimited and Ducks Unlimited.
