The NitroFire® is the first — and still the best — muzzleloader designed to use the Federal Premium® Firestick™. This .50-caliber muzzleloader features a 26″ ultralight chromoly steel fluted and tapered barrel, 1:24″ VAPR™ twist rifling, and a host of other advanced components. It also incorporates Traditions® Elite XT™ trigger system, engineered with a rebounding hammer and manual cross-block trigger safety. The Elite XT™ design allows the action to open while the safety is engaged, making it easy to load, unload, or visually inspect the chamber.

Traditions® NitroFire® uses the Firestick™ ignition system from Federal Premium™, an encapsulated powder charge that’s moisture-proof and manufactured with the same tight tolerances as loaded ammunition. Powered by Hodgdon® Triple 8 — an efficient, cleaner-burning powder — the system eliminates the need for a breech plug and greatly reduces cleanup. Unused Firesticks™ can be removed and stored safely. Through collaboration with Federal Premium® and Hodgdon®, Traditions® has made muzzleloading simpler, safer, and more dependable than ever.
